Audi is redefining electric mobility with the all-new A2 e-tron, its most energy-efficient production vehicle yet. This model combines innovative engineering, sophisticated aerodynamics and everyday usability, demonstrating how Audi is making premium electric mobility more accessible to its customers.

At the heart of the A2 e-tron’s achievement is its remarkably low energy consumption. The 140-kW model, equipped with the optional efficiency package, consumes approximately 4.9 miles per kWh. Depending on configuration, the A2 e-tron also offers up to 401 miles of range. Its profound efficiency capacity establishes an exciting milestone in the automaker’s electrification journey.

Much of this capability comes from the vehicle’s aerodynamic design. With a drag coefficient of just 0.24, the A2 e-tron features a streamlined roofline, specially designed wheels, and an active cooling-air intake. Additional aerodynamic elements reduce turbulence around the wheel arches. Together, these improvements reduce energy consumption by up to 1.45 kWh per 100 miles.

Audi has also refined the electric drivetrain. Advanced silicon carbide semiconductors minimize electrical losses, while improvements to the motor and transmission further enhance efficiency. The 140-kWh version features a 61-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery designed for everyday durability. An optimized cooling strategy also helps achieve an impressive 89.9 percent wallbox charging efficiency.

Beyond capability, the A2 e-tron introduces technology around convenience. Available bidirectional charging allows owners to power external devices, while compatible Vehicle-to-Home technology enables the battery to supply household electricity in select markets. Inside, an 11.9 inch digital instrument cluster and 12.8 inch touchscreen deliver Audi’s signature digital experience.

Customers can choose between four power levels and three battery capacities, providing flexibility for different driving needs. Developed and manufactured in Ingolstadt, Germany, the A2 e-tron became available to order in September 2026.

With its remarkable efficiency, intelligent technology, and practical design, the A2 e-tron represents an important achievement in Audi’s electric lineup. Rather than relying exclusively on larger batteries, Audi is demonstrating how smarter engineering can deliver meaningful improvements in electric mobility for everyday drivers.
