Audi is set to honor a remarkable range of milestones in 2026, marking key moments in its product evolution, company history, and motorsport legacy. Through its newly released digital booklet, “Anniversary Dates 2026”, Audi Tradition highlights the achievements that have shaped the brand and its heritage marques, offering enthusiasts and industry followers a deeper look into the Four Rings' enduring influence.

Several major engine innovations take center stage in the upcoming anniversary year. It has been 25 years since Audi introduced the A8 6.0, once the world's most powerful twelve-cylinder luxury sedan, featuring Audi's first W12 engine. Fifty years ago, the brand launched its first five-cylinder engine in the Audi 100, an engine celebrated for its distinctive sound and rally success. Going even further back, Audi recognizes the 100th anniversary of the Horch 8, Germany's first production eight-cylinder vehicle, and 125 years since August Horch designed his first automobile.

Motorsport achievements also play a major role in the commemorations. Audi and its heritage brands have a long standing presence in competitive racing, dating back to the early 20th century. In 1926, NSU earned a class sweep at the inaugural German Grand Prix, while Auto Union's Type C dominated the 1936 Grand Prix season. More recently, Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive technology proved its global strength in 1996, capturing Touring Car Championship victories across seven countries.

Beyond racing and engineering breakthroughs, Audi also celebrates major moral anniversaries. The upcoming year marks 30 years of the Audi A3, 35 years of the Audi Cabriolet, and 50 years of the second generation Audi 100. Additional milestones include 70 years since the DKW 3=6 Monza record run, 70 years of the DKW Munga off-road vehicle, and seven decades of NSU speed records, each reflecting Audi’s long standing pursuit of performance and innovation across diverse vehicle segments.

These anniversaries collectively tell the story of a brand rooted in progress, craftsmanship, and competition. Audi Tradition’s digital publication offers a comprehensive timeline of these achievements and underscores how the brand continues to draw inspiration from its past while shaping the future of mobility.
