Audi is taking five of its most important models to the next level. The A5, Q5, A6, A6 e-tron, and Q6 e-tron are rolling into the new model year with meaningful upgrades. And these changes go far beyond surface-level tweaks — Audi is introducing carefully engineered hardware and software improvements that enhance performance, comfort, technology, and everyday convenience.
These upgrades highlight the long-term capability of Audi’s two major platforms: Premium Platform Electric (PPE) and Premium Platform Combustion (PPC). Whether drivers choose electric or combustion power, the goal is the same — vehicles that continue to evolve with meaningful new features over time.
Improved Driving Dynamics and Regenerative Braking in Audi e-tron and S Models
Several models benefit from the new dynamic plus mode within Audi drive select. In vehicles such as the S5 and S6 e-tron, it sharpens the drivetrain’s responsiveness and allows for precisely controlled handling characteristics, while electronic stabilization keeps things safe and predictable. Drivers also get sport-focused display graphics, including shift lights and detailed performance readouts.
Electric models based on the PPE platform receive important gains in efficiency. Improved regenerative braking now allows deceleration all the way to a standstill without using conventional friction brakes, creating smoother stops while recovering more energy — helping extend usable range.
For convenience, the drive select assistant can automatically adjust driving characteristics based on the driver’s style and the road situation.
Upgraded Audi Driver Assistance Systems for Safer Highway and City Driving
Audi is also enhancing its assistance systems. An advanced version of adaptive cruise assist can support lane changes initiated by the driver on the highway. Traffic sign recognition features are also incorporated to help drivers maintain appropriate speeds, and give notifications about changes in right-of-way or potential road hazards ahead.
Parking technology becomes more capable as well. With park assist pro, features such as reverse assist, maneuver assist, and trained parking make tight spaces easier to handle. Up to five parking maneuvers can be saved and repeated autonomously on private property — and compatible vehicles can even be guided into a garage via smartphone.
Digital Matrix LED Headlights Bring Advanced Visibility to the Audi A6
For the A6 lineup, digital matrix LED headlights are now offered, along with adaptive lighting and visual cues to provide improved lane guidance, and driver awareness in challenging visibility. These can give road condition notifications, highlight pedestrians, and create striking welcome and exit lighting sequences. Paired with new digital OLED taillights, visibility and road presence are both amplified.
New Audi Interior Technology and Smarter Infotainment Experience
Inside, usability gets a meaningful upgrade. A redesigned multifunction steering wheel and the return of more physical controls make common functions easier to manage. Updated infotainment layouts offer clearer structure, and smartphone integration is more deeply woven into both the MMI display and the virtual cockpit.
The Audi assistant gains new AI-driven capabilities, including natural-language search, helpful in-car organization tools, and deeper integration with connected services. Voice control can now be used to manage more vehicle systems and routines.
Integrated Dashcam, In-Car Gaming, and Comfort Features Add Everyday Convenience
Audi is also introducing an optional integrated 4K dashcam, new interior “experience worlds” for relaxation or focus, and expanded in-car gaming with Bluetooth controllers and wireless headphones.
Orders for the upgraded PPE and PPC models begin rolling out in the coming model year, with exact timing and features varying by market.
These updates reflect Audi’s strategy of continually enhancing its vehicles — not just with cosmetic refreshes, but with meaningful improvements that shape the way drivers interact with their cars every day.
