Audi Q3 and A7 Receive Impressive Recognition for Safety Features

The 2019 Audi Q3 and A7 have been recognized as two of Audi's premier — and certified safe — vehicles. They recently made headlines for receiving impressive recognition for their quality, structure, and innovative features by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), a non profit organization that works to reduce the number of motor vehicle traffic collisions.

When equipped with full LED headlights on its Premium Plus and Prestige trims, the Q3 received the highest rating for IIHS Top Safety Pick+, meeting both requirements for this award including a “good” headlight rating with a “good” passenger-side small overlap rating.

To ensure strong confidence for Audi Q3 drivers, several powerful assistance features have been incorporated and become standard for the vehicle. The newly standard Audi pre-sense ® basic takes pro-active initiative to limit the vehicle’s impact, including closing windows, the sunroof, and tightening the front seat belts. The parking system plus along with the new park steering assist give the driver the resources, security, and assistance needed via sensors or simply taking control of the wheel to ensure an easy, risk-free parking experience.

The driving assistance is further expanded with the newly incorporated top view camera system, which gives the driver a full 360-degree view of the full area surrounding the vehicle, a powerful tool when navigating into tight spaces. The 2019 Audi Q3 now also gives the driver warnings and alerts via the Audi pre-sense ® front and the Audi side assist, with cameras monitoring the front and sides equipped with blind-spot monitoring and lane departure warnings.

To help ensure crash safety, Audi takes great caution and attention to the materials that compromise the weight and foundation of the car. The passenger seat is primarily made of hot-shaped steel components, compromising 26% of the Q3's weight and combining low weight with significant strength.

The Audi lineup also received its well-deserved recognition with the new 2019 Audi A7. Its newly equipped LED Matrix-design headlights helped name the vehicle a 2019 Top Safety Pick. When equipped with certain headlights, the 2019 Audi A3, A4, A6, and the Q8 also received awards.

With Audi, you’re in safe hands.
